Ceci n'est pas msx is a reference to The Treachery of Images, by the way. It means This is not msx, which is a true statement. That is not Em Essex in the flesh, it is a poorly-cropped image of their character pasted carelessly into ibisPaint. You cannot talk with it, and it cannot make music. Therefore, it is not msx.
It's also a half-assed way of telling myself to "Never meet your heroes", taking the normally surrealist message and putting a literal spin on it instead. What msx represents themselves with on msx.horse or in HALLEY LABS is what they have chosen to represent themself with, and is not all of who they are.
