The night was beautiful and calm. The full moon lit the ground so much it almost felt like a dim day.
The white-haired bat was walking towards the dark forest. She stopped at the edge of it, staring into the darkness,
where the moonlight didn't penetrate. She was waiting for someone. A small wind made the trees move slightly, but other than that it was peaceful and quiet.
Suddenly, the wind stopped and an absolute silence hugged the area. It felt as if you had suddenly entered a dome
of silence so loud it made your ears ring. Miru felt shivers going through her body. She knew it was coming. She kept
staring into the woods. Finally she saw something. The trees moving, bending, but they didn't break. It didn't look like
something was stomping them, rather it looked like the trees were moving away on their own, as if creating a path for
something, or, someone. Around the trees and in the middle of their path Miru could see a dense mist slowly creeping towards her.
She didn't see the God that was making its way towards her; the God would only be seen when he wanted to be seen.
The air started to feel cold. It was always summer in Other World, but now it started to feel chilly like in autumn or early winter.
Miru started to feel nervous. Would her old friend recognize her anymore? After all, it had been almost a decade since she last
visited Other World. She closed her eyes and turned her head to face her feet. Her heart was pounding so fast it was the only
thing she could hear in her ears. She felt how the grass beneath her feet started to die because of the cold. She fidgeted her
fingers and took shaky breaths. Then she felt cold air blowing against her face. Immediately she opened her eyes and gazed
upwards, now seeing the God of death right in front of her. She gasped and took a step backwards, her heart pounding faster,
her eyes widening. The beast stood eerily still, staring at Miru with its dead, soulles white eyes. Its mouth was slightly open, and
you could see slow raspy breathing coming out of it. The mist surrounding the beast moved in waves around him. Miru kept staring
into the God's eyes, she didn't dare to look away. She still wasn't sure whether she was looking at a friend or foe.
She took a deep breath, took a step forward, and moved her arms towards the beast, opening them as if into a hug. She smiled,
trying to hide her nervousness. The beast stared and stood still, not reacting in any way. This lasted a few seconds, until finally
the God smirked slightly with its deformed face, taking a step forward and pushed its snout in between Miru's open arms. The push
was so sudden and strong that Miru's feet left the ground for a second, and she grabbed the God's snout tighter. She then smiled
even wider, pushing her upper body and cheek against the big furry snout. The God growled softly with it's broken body.
Miru lifted her gaze back to the beast's, still hugging its snout with a wide smile on her face.
"Old friend.. You've grown a lot since I last saw you."
