A wild snow flurry covers the country with a thick white coat. The world seems to have fallen into hibernation. Fine crystals dance playfully in the wind and get caught in the long, thick hair of a horse's forelock. Well insulated, no body heat penetrates the thick coat and prevents the snowflakes from melting.
The two stallions uproar across the open carpet, are at least as playful as the dancing ice crystals. They take it in turns to cavort, sometimes the smaller one is ahead, sometimes the bigger one. A little competition without a goal. Just being together, that's the purpose of this little excursion into nature. Following their nature, the two Fjord horses jump, gallop, rising and piaffe through the snow, leaving deep tracks behind them. Flared nostrils, wake eyes, racing hearts and arched crests reveal the pair's pure joie de vivre.
The crackling of the snow and the whistling of the wind is their melody, the pracing snowflakes their beat.
A moment and an eternity, frozen in a single image. Many thanks to
