This was joy to paint, simple and comfort zoon-y. Most other work always has a "challenge" anyway.
Speaking of challenges, I just handed in my first OFFICIAL Magic: the Gathering sketches. It's very exciting, I'm happy with my work on it so far, and I hope I'll be able to deliver the quality all the way to the finals. A lot of people showed amazing support and wished to see me doing that job, I don't want to disappoint anyone.

It's a matter of your preferred process and what you know how to do. I wouldn't know how to color a fully rendered grayscale painting to make it look like this.
Some people definitely do work like that, so it is possible. Gradient layers and other adjustments can do wonders, but I'm simple couple-of-brushes-on-normal-mode painter.

I'll take that as a big compliment! Thank you!
I think a few other sketches I made for this were even more Beksiński: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/JrE9BD
