I decided to check out Lunacid recently, and discovered it lets you import custom art for your character portrait. Naturally, I had to make one for Hex =3
Spent about an hour and a half on this in SAI. Drew it at 2x the resolution that the game uses, but that's still a very small resolution.

Most enemies go down in a couple hits and don't hit too terribly hard, and combat is relatively mid-paced.
It was honestly hardest at the very start when I was a low level and didn't have any items, but even then I only died when I wasn't being careful.
The only thing that's "punishing" is that there's no pausing and you can only save at designated crystals (which also respawn your enemies and heal you, Dark Souls style).

Personally I *adored* Dread Delusion.. It sorta felt like a smaller, less complex Morrowind, but not in a terribly bad way or anything. The RPG side of it was a bit light at times, but the world and story and all pulled more than their weight, plus the aesthetic is delightfully well done through and through, in my opinion. Hope you enjoy it muchly!
I really enjoyed it back in early access, before the Clockwork area was accessible. I'm also probably gonna check out Monomyth, which had a cool demo and looks like a mix of Arx Fatalis and Dark Souls.
I'm so into the idea of these smaller, condensed action RPG experiences.

Oh wow.. Arx Fatalis is one of those where I remember it vaguely but fondly despite some quirkiness, and it's also one I don't hear mentioned a lot! I adored all the creative and strange things games were trying in that era (and seem to be doing again in the indie scene especially!)
I didn't play it before release just because I like to kinda really 'dig in', but I'm glad to say I don't feel like there was any drop in quality or anything with the Clockwork area and beyond. Should be a blast throughout! <3 I haven't heard of Monomyth before, will definitely have to look closer at it, the store page alone looks neat~
