Then again I do love modding my Warhammers with Large Pulse Lasers instead of PPCs.

Three PPCs are fun, the 9Q and its four PPCs is even more fun!

I didn't know that variant existed till now. Better stock up on those double heat sinks.

the 8Q is the 3x ppc and battlefist variant, the only real way to improve on the perfection that is the Awesome is add more weapons and better quality armor

Never could understand why even bothering with the small laser if 3 PPCs couldn't do the job.

i use triple ssrmx6 with 2 medium long range lasers and one large lazer works wonders for me

I never was one for missileboats, even with case. Loved going overboard with Med Pulse Lasers or ER Mediums and lots of double heat sinks. Love the Nova and Supernova builds. ^_^

its becuase mines a light hunter i use a computer to counter there ecm and to lock on fast and also for the bonus damage , kiils lights with 1 hit got tired of being swarmed by fleas

Because what else are you going to do with a spare half ton on a mech that's already got max armor?

Maybe shave off half a ton of armor for another heat sink.

Losing that half ton of protection is probably going to hurt more than having 28 heat dissipation instead of 29 does.

The PPCs have the minimum range restriction, so at least you can draw penises on their armor when they get in close

Also I think Small Lasers might have an anti-infantry advantage?

mostly because ppc's are great just not at hitting infantry

"A basic upgrade to the original 8Q introduced in 3057, the heat sinks are upgraded to double heat sinks and are reduced to nineteen. The saved weight is used to add a fourth PPC to the 'Mech as well as a Guardian ECM Suite. Although there was some criticism for using basic PPCs and not upgrading to ER models, the 9Q proved itself during Operation Guerrero to be quite devastating. BV (1.0) = 1,623 BV (2.0) = 1,875"
