Speedpainting inspired by a dream from last night.
Tried to convey a sense of scale here but I still don't think it came out quite right... but as close as its gonna get.
I was out in the middle of literally nowhere, surrounded by empty hills. There was a worn-in pathway leading downhill and away into the distance (the only thing I could not seem to illustrate properly).
I was with a group of people, but no one I actually knew from the waking world. They were somewhat behind me, off a distance, doing their own thing and not terribly interested in anything else.
There was a gigantic pillar of rock in the distance, housing a huge white tree, appearing to glow as the sun was directly behind it. As I was marveling at this sight, the tree let loose something similar to cotton fluffs, which then drifted in all directions. I reached out and caught a few as they passed.
I wish I could have stayed longer in that dream... but I was then awoken by a low-flying biplane going over the apartments, launched from the airfield less than a mile away -_- (only 4 more months til I'm off living in a quiet little dust speck of a town on the other side of the country..)
Anyway.. There's probably some deeper profound meaning to this one. Food for thought that I'll be chewing on all day. I'm a junkie for dreamstuffs x3 actively practice lucid dreaming (when my life is in a calmer state, anyhow.. it's hard to focus on right now when I have so much chaos to worry about) and have always found dreams to be an important part of life.

Did you read what she said? Dreams are DEEPLY personal things, and it's rather offensive that you would even ask to swipe imagery from someone's personal world, especially when it was imagery clearly meant to portray a vision to that particular person. We should be honored that she's choosing to share it at all considering the personal nature of it.
No worries, at least you asked instead of just taking it for use without further consideration. I can appreciate that!

I've only had one or a few, very brief, lucid dreams in my lifetime, but boy were they something..practice techniques don't seem to make any difference for me, I simply have to wait some years and one will eventually happen. This is an interesting image, thank you for creating it to share with us. :)
If only there was a way to know for sure if there's more to them than just dreams....but then again, there automatically is more to them, because of how they affect us when we wake, as seen right here.

It's true, intense dreams can leave a huge impact on a person's life, regardless of any deeper meaning. Just the feelings and what they can inspire in the waking world.. oh I could go on about this for days xD
and yeah.. lucid dreaming doesn't come easy, but since I've started doing more research into it, they do come more often.
