EXCLAF (short for EXperimental CLimbing Apparatus Frame) is a Decepticon spec ops commando, in charge of sabotaging and infiltrating Autobot's strongholds. Originally just a lab experiment held against his will to create a new type of frame for Cybertronians, he was set to be the first successful prototype of the EXCLAF model. However, before the scientists were able to introduce the designs, Decepticons attacked the base, inadvertently freeing the prototype. EXCLAF proceeded to butcher the scientists who abused him with ruthless efficiency.

Once Megatron got to see the carnage he caused, he was quick to offered him a spot in the Decepticon army, which EXCLAF gladly accepted. His modified frame grants allows him to climb any set of walls and infiltrate enemy strongholds with ease without being spotted.

He remembers nothing about his past identity and seeks to find out who he was. The database at the original research was destroyed, forcing him to seek other avenues of information for self-discovery. Thankfully, infiltrating into Autobot bases afford him the opportunities he needs to find out more.
