With the Spectreman I wanted to do a similar thing with the Fireman pic - with the vehicles, but the show only featured a silly helicopter, a sedan, sports car and the jeep. I also wanted to add the Pollution/G-Men Squad, but due to how long it got to me here, I decided to only concentrate on Spectreman's Joji Form.
Spectreman/ Joji Gamou (George in the English Dub) was the Protagonist and title Hero of the 1971-1972 Tokusatsu tv series Spectreman. Much in the vein of Ultraman, Spectreman was an Alien who came from Nebula 71, a member of the Universal Federation, to protect the Earth from threats from Space (namely, Dr. Gori and his Pollutant Monsters), with the main difference been the main character (actually) a Cyborg requires permission from its Overlord on a orbiting spaceship to activate the transformation, something that can be impeded either by cloud cover or his right arm is harm.
Unlike most heroes of this genre, where their super form is limited by some time limit, Joji can remain in Spectreman form for indefinite periods provided he uses his energy attacks sparely, often resulting in depending on melee fight techniques for the battles, using his energy attacks as last result or to provide the killing blow, but when overexertion or been damage in battle, reverts to his Human Form, allowing for a recharge or internal repairs to be carry out which can put Joji in a Shutdown state to make it faster. To carry out his mission on Earth, Spectreman was assign the disguise and name of Gamou Joji, who becomes the latest member of Chief Kurata's Anti Pollution Team.
While Joji/Spectreman has demonstrated to be a quick witter fighter and scientist, he is in truth a very jovial and a kindhearted individual, specially around children, which has made him to be more receptive and emotionally attach to Humanity and Earth than his missions parameters would allow, specially as his friendship with the members of the G-Men grows closer with loyalty and devotion to one another overtime as the series progresses, been against any idea of allowing any one human to be sacrifice for the greater good of mission's goals, even disobeying the Overlord Master to the point of been threaten with been replace or decommissioned and taken back to Nebula 71, and will show regret if people die, more so when the circumstance of their demise relates to him. He will take the mission with the seriousness it need to be taken with and will strive to achieve the best solution possible to protect others while confronting the treat, which puts him in Contrasts to Gori's hate and desire to destroy Humankind.

Quite often, using this technique can weaken and/or de-powered Spectreman specially if he gets damage or the battles prolong for too long.
