I think she is definitely cured of her affliction.
But to suffer it's degenerative effects and probably be told from a young age that she might not survive past adulthood is hard on anyone, especially a kid.
But to be cured? To no longer suffer and for lack of a better term, watch your own candle slowly burn out? It would definitely feel like nothing short of an act of God (despite the new look)
