What you see before you is a drawing of the moment Envy's life changed forever. In a couple of my stories, Envy at some point talked about how she lost her family. She explained that when she was just a child, she watched both of her parents be murdered right before her own eyes by a creepy man with a wide, blood red smile and a glowing red knife. The man killed her father, Shulk first, splattering his blood against the crumbled walls of what used to be their home. Before Envy's mother, Endora hid her in a safe place where the man couldn't find her, the last thing she said to her was, "Farewell, my little shadow." She then went to confront the man to protect her beloved daughter. With a wicked happy grin on his face, the man drew his knife and continuously slashed her body all over. Endora suffered slash after slash, blow after blow, but for some reason, she never fought back. It was as if she had accepted her fate. Eventually, the man, gripping both hands onto his bloody knife, leaped up into the air and finished her with a stab to the chest. Envy may have lived to tell the tale, but the scars she received from that night still haunt her to this day. It was then that that night became part of a tragedy known as the Darkrune Massacre.
