The best time to get candy is the weeks following Halloween.
Factories and stores always stock way more candy than they actually need so that they don't run out, and when Halloween has ended, something needs to be done with all of that extra candy.
What better way to make sure it doesn't go to waste than by letting two super gluttonous mega fatties eat all of it and swell to massive proportions~
Though I don't think my Greedy Glutton Griller costume is going to last much longer~
