Neat! I have watched those shows growing up, and now I live here in Portland with another movie star Loco, the Sp 4449.

You'd think Memorial Day weekend would be one of the days you'd want to run #3 instead of the Shay. Considering all the trouble they through getting her up and running again.

Yah, it would have been nice to see her operating, though I knew ahead of time she wouldn't be.

That being said, she looked far better than when I was last there.

More than once I have gone to Jamestown on holiday weekends specifically to film #3 in action and found her parked. I dunno what their logic is.

Who knows. Prolly think that the Shay will draw more attention due to the gearing motion and the rarity of the geared locomotive compared to the rod lokie. *shrug* I prefer rod lokies, myself... mostly because models of rod locomotives don't break when cat hair gets into the rods, unlike geared ones which will slip the gears when that happens... :P
