My first ever corset ^_^ I made this for going to see a band in Germany a few years back. Few mistakes since I have a big chest, but it fit quite nicely. Had a shawl and a skirt to go with it, but they went awol lol

^.^ I hope to see more of these, your corsets look alot sturdier then the flimsy ones i bought at the mall.

Thank you! I used a double layer of heavy calico plus an outer layer of curtain material along with steel boning. It really does make a difference using steel XD

It does! I think the generic ones in stores just have aluminum or nickle. (i think i spelled that correctly) *just woke up*

Yeah, I've seen a lot of corsets that are meant to be more of a 'dress-up' for a night out that are boned with plastic. I got one when I was a lot younger out of a regular store when they were in fashion, and oh my! The pain when one of the seams burst and the plastic jabbed me cos it hadn't been sealed >_<

Oh no! Yea, the ones i have do have metal but i have noticed it's very flimsy, the bottom curls either up or in, and it does not accentuate like it should. Proper corsets should not curl! XD Of course you already know that. ~ ^.^
