See, I just did this too recently! This account is new, because my other one of about two years, I decided I wanted to change the name of, and couldn't. I swore it was a thing, too, but I searched and searched, and never found the option to. How is name changing not a thing??

What confuses me most is when I originally made my previous account roughly two years ago, very soon into having it, I decided I wanted to change my name, but at the time, I swear up and down I found an option for it, but it said I had to wait like three months or some shit to change it - I guess to prevent people changing it every other day, which makes sense. I swear to god this was a thing. Since then, though, I never got around to doing anything about it, even after being eligible. And then here recently, about a week ago, I finally got that urge again, and then there was zero option, anywhere. I'm still so confused. Name changing is such a basic thing! Even on a chat forum I'm in, you can do it, though it has to be approved by moderators who have to do it, not you. But even still, there's at least a way. Here, there's apparently NOTHING, and it hurts my brain trying to comprehend, honest to god, why. It's such a basic thing you would expect to be able to do in SOME fashion or another, and upon searching online, you can find posts from other people like six fucking years ago complaining about this, and there was apparently a feature for it being worked on. The fuck happened to it? That was six damn years ago! What on Earth have the mods been doing??
