How to make an avian character use the Starfleet uniforms? The secret is to use ✨feather dye✨ to simulate the colors! This fantastic solution was provided by
archteryx, and I took the liberty of making Mot, the Bolian barber, our magician on the Enterprise-D. Thank you so much for the commission, the adorable idea, and the trust 💙

ID: Shaded and colored drawing of a big anthropomorphic avian character, vulture-like, on the Enterprise-D. He is observing his feathers, colored like the Sciences blue uniform, in awe. Behind him there is a Bolian hog, the barber, that lifts a sparkly cape and admires proudly his work. The background is the starship's interior, the windows showing the stars blurred in warp velocity. End ID.

Of course! I imagine in a sci-fi world you could have clothes that adhere to the body without fasteners of any kind, effectively making something as body tight as a wet suit that was more practical and comfortable. But real avians don't have predominant reproductive organs like mammals, so you can really wear nothing at all.
