After years of hardship and misery, Finn found himself in a... calmer place, surrounded by people who actually enjoyed his company. And yet his mind remained shackled to the fear and vigilance that had once been his only means of survival. Each day was getting better, but he couldn’t feel the lightness of it. He wore his past like armor, blind to what was truly around him, unable to realize that the battle may already be over.
Or perhaps he knew it all—and chose to ignore it—believing that allowing himself peace would only make him soft and vulnerable. After all, he hadn’t survived twenty years in Hell by taking unnecessary risks.
Either way, the gloomy grump look isn't going anywhere......yet. XD
