(INCOMING BACKSTORY:)
God Old Bucky, Bucky’s future self millions of years from now, having become a functionally immortal cyborg and amassed some pretty impressive abilities that make him god-like in term of power, thanks to a couple of modification that his wife Jane Doe has made over the centuries.
Throughout the years, after Bucky’s sons Bu and Kee left home and went off to explore the universe, he and Jane Doe went on some space adventures of their own, and where they encountered intelligent life, they also discovered that there were orphan children on each of these planets with no one to care for them, and to fill the void that Bu and Kee’s absence had brought and also to give these children a loving home, Bucky and Jane started adopting orphaned alien children every couple of centuries and caring for them until they had large enough families of their own and then they moved on to taking in another orphan alien child in need. This continued for millennia and eons, and eventually, when Bu and Kee decided to throw a birthday party celebrating Bucky’s nonillionth birthday, they came to a surprising realization. Upon compiling the guest lists for all the members of their extended family, Bu and Kee had come to the conclusion that EVERY SENTIENT BEING IN THE UNIVERSE were now in some way related to Bucky and Jane Doe, essentially making the ENTIRE UNIVERSE ONE BIG FAMILY.
So Bucky became a God not because of his longevity or the amazing power that he amassed, but by the simple act of loving others and in doing so, both found a way of uniting the entire universe and became a literal All-Father.

Glad someone noticed that, one of the reasons Bucky ended up started the process of adopting different aliens into the family is because he knew personally what it was like to grow up without parents. Although his older self did help take care of him, to keep the time loop intact, he had to leave him all alone after a certain point which was very hard for him, though he still watched out for him to ensure he survived to adulthood and met up with Jane Doe later on.
Actually, while you’re not wrong that most Buckys would follow the predetermined course of actions, but there are alternate realities where Old Bucky couldn’t bring himself to abandon his younger self, both with good and bad consequences. In a multiverse of infinite possibilities, anything is possible.
And speaking of which, there actually is a universe where Bucky is the alien and Jane Doe is a normal doe, I did plan on doing some pics regarding it but haven’t had the time to, but there’s still the possibility of it happening.

I’m not against Bucky meeting with other deities, he’s already met up with multiple versions of himself including Santa Bucky and Cupid Bucky whom he acts like a father-figure towards.
Because the denizens of his universe are all his family, he has committed himself to protecting them and his universe from any major threats, and if another deity was to approach his universe with malicious intent, he would not hesitant to unleash his power to defend it.
But any deity who comes to his domain wishing friendship, brotherhood, and comradery, is certainly welcome.
