The moment seemed to stretch like taffy as the two lovers ran forward, towards each other. They'd thought they'd never see each other again, what was the other even doing here? The memory of meeting here the first time was fresh on their mind, sweet as the sea breeze, and each additional time even more so. They both remember the promise they'd made to each other, that they'd find their way out of their respective traps and run away together. Finally, the day had come to take the first step forward, or in this case, the first passionate embrace.

The toon bounced and bounced down the beach, her body catching the light in that oversimplified way that the human knew so well. The human's barefooted steps kicked up sand as his feet pounded hard and fast.They both raised their arms, outstretched, ready to receive the other. The moment seemed to stretch like taffy...

In a moment, Lottie had bounced up onto Soren's arms. He spun the much shorter figure around in his arms and, all at once, they were kissing and hugging and loving each other more than ever. If the countless dates and conversations weren't enough to prove it, this embrace, this single moment of pure unfiltered connection was enough to cement that these two lovers would be together for as long as this moment was kept alive. Two dolphins in the ocean next to them poked their heads up and sprayed jets of water from their snouts that curved impossibly through the air into a heart, perfectly framing the pair. Normally, Soren would have commented on it, or even reacted, but the weird way the world worked when Lottie was around was hardly at the forefront of his scattered thoughts. It felt like days before Soren spoke, in a voice barely above a whisper. "I-I...I didn't think you'd come..."

"Y-Ya...ya think so little a' me sailor?" Her slight accent and the taste of her cartoon lips was still fresh on the man's mind as he chuckled. "No just...ah nevermind. It doesn't matter anymore"

"In that case, what's a gal gotta do to get some more a'that actimmph~" And they were kissing again, in a moment that stretched like taffy.
