Krista's dad emerges!

Solomon is a big fan of the sea. He had experience with sailing, so was fortunate to land a spot in the South African Navy when he (reluctantly) did his mandatory military service in the bad times, and avoid direct combat for the most part. He was happy to be released and moved away as soon as he could to avoid any follow-up service. Whether he met Krista's mother back home or after emigrating is to be determined.

His love of the water persists through his sailboat and his career as a marine architect. An avid swimmer as well as a sailor, he loves being outside by the water.
