In April 2022, I had written a story with lines that would serve as a book of my own. This story had been inspired by Watership Down and The Animals of Farthing Wood, since the movie and the cartoon is about a group of animals that try to find a new home after their old home has been taken over by humans, having to face several dangers, being human interventions in nature and a group of evil animals, in addition to the fact that both have a lot of violence.
However, it was thanks to an art by a furry artist called Skeleion that I got the idea to create this story. Imagine how crazy a random art from the internet would make an aspiring writer create a story with two protagonists inspired by the two characters in that art. However, in August 2022, I rewrote my story because it was pretty bad, so I had to completely rewrite it and add new chapters to try to improve it.
After I posted my story on Amino, many users liked my story and the chapters got a lot of engagement. I was surprised by this, because I thought my story would flop, but I was wrong. After I published all the chapters of my story, Sunderland, on Amino, I decided to try my luck in publishing this story on two sites: Spirit Fanfics and Wattpad.
But when I went to publish it on Wattpad, I couldn't publish my story because the site only allowed vertical photos to serve as covers (just like the covers of books) and the only photo I used as cover for my story was horizontal.
Because of that, I asked my friend, NOTG, if he could draw the protagonists of my book, Red and Angel, to serve as a cover art. He agreed to do the drawing for me, but warned that it would take time, since he was very busy.
On November 6 2022, he managed to draw my OCs. Finally, after a long time, my story got a cover art. Man, the art is incredibly beautiful! I loved the paint, the way NOTG drew Red and Angel, the brush, the colors, the shine, everything! Seriously, Red is so badass there and Angel is so cute π
I'm very grateful that he drew my OCs. I loved this amazing art, and it's one of the best art I've ever won. Thank you so much friend β€οΈ If you want to know his work, click here: https://www.instagram.com/notg_arts/
