Aaaaaaaargh, procrastination! XD

Here, at last, is a side-by-side of the old bird skull pendant (the smaller one with the black beak, which is a REAL blackbird skull), and the new one (a magpie skull cast with a gold-leafed beak that I bought from Breakspire and then customized myself).

I'm extremely pleased with how the new one turned out, but I'll always still have a soft spot for the original one, too. Just that now I'll feel better keeping the old version at home safe and sound, while its neigh-indestructible doppleganger goes out on the town. XD

For those curious about the markings, they're elemental symbols of my own design, representing Earth (the top one) and Water (bottom one), as those are my two sybiotic elements. And avian creatures, by default, are attuned to the Air element, so I've got 3 elements infused into one piece of jewelry, heh. I'm not technically "attuned" to the Air element, but it promotes the flow of ideas and creativity, and also gives motivation and determination. Fire technically does a better job in the motivation and determination department (being the more "aggressive" element), but I'm repelled by Fire-element stuff, so couldn't really use a Fire-based conduit (in shamanistic charm/totem making, the "conduit" is the term using for what you're using as a "base" for your charm or totem)I guess you could say it's my own way of keeping myself "balanced" and empowered on the go. Portable therapy! XD

At some point, I'd love to make another pendant that makes use of Fire and Air, but use an Earth-based conduit so that it doesn't do me more harm than good (as Fire-element stuff does give great benefits, if used correctly), and my mom would also like her own elemental pendant someday, too. She's Earth/Water like me, so her's will be easy to do. I'll prolly use a Water-based conduit for her's, as it's her strongest element. Can you tell that I enjoy all this way too much? XD
