Elaina hails from a bustling, high-tech world known for its advanced technology. Among the most closely guarded technological secrets is the knowledge of (somewhat unstable) teleportation and portal technology. When the time came to for the newest test, Elaina was a natural volunteer. A member of her world's military, she was seen by many as a rising star within it's ranks, in spite of her below-average stature and low birth.

The experiment, meant to test a long-distance jump between her homeworld and one of its' off-world colonies was supposed to be a simple one. Beam her through and hope a bunny appears on the other side. Perhaps through some accident, or something slightly more conspiratorial, the portal malfunctioned leaving little trace of Elaina, who while battered and bruised found herself in our world.

Now stranded on a foreign Earth without access to her advanced technology or means of return, Elaina must navigate this new world. Her training kicks in, helping her adapt to new challenges, but she can't shake the feeling of being an outsider. The cultural and technological differences make blending in difficult, but Elaina is nothing if not resilient.
