I'm learning blender to replace my ancient copy of trueSpace 4.3. Mostly concentrating on hard surface modeling to start with.
Currently singing along (because I don't know all the words) to the M4 tutorial series on blender cookie dot com. Helps that I have a M16a1 airsoft as reference. Lets me know when the narrator has done something silly so I don't copy him.

I'm using 3ds Max right now and doing similar projects... I'll be pissed when I have to switch to something else, because trial programs through school make me so lazy... Blender popped up as the next best option according to my teacher though.
