In The Cyberpunk Handbook (https://www.amazon.ca/Cyberpunk-Han...../dp/0679762302), they talk about what they call the "Octopus Mind" or "Monkey Mind." It means the seemingly infinite curiosity which it takes to fully explore Online enough to truly *understand* it, or to be able to compare and contrast different aspects of interweaving subjects to see how they all "fit" together. It's the "mind that goes everywhere it can go." Setting an octopus around the Apple of Knowledge seems especially fitting!
