Peryta and Mietmaul watch as a crane backs away from the back of the ambulance.
Mietmaul: "Getting cold feet?"
Peryta: "No. If anything, now I'm really determined." (sigh) "But... We probably shouldn't have a hellborn at the front desk anymore."
Chaser: (O.S.) "Tera!"
Chaser cuts in between Peryta and Mietmaul and runs to the back of the ambulance.
Chaser: "I just got off the phone with Ziger -- he says he can help you take care of... You know... Things until you're better." (leans in) "And we are absolutely going to get to the bottom of this! I know the best doctors, the best detectives, and DEFINITELY the best lawyers. As soon as you-"
The doors are SLAMMED shut in his face by two imp paramedics.
Chaser: "Hey! I wasn't... Ugh..." (knocks on the door) "Stay strong, Tera. I'll come visit you as soon as they'll let me."
He starts to walk away but stops at something tugging at his neck. He looks back and sees that his tie is stuck in the door.
The ambulances wheels SCREECH.
Chaser: "No wait-!"
The engine ROARS as the ambulance takes off. Chaser is yanked off of his feet and pulled behind it.
Chaser: "My tie is stuck! Stop!"
Chaser starts running along the ground as he tries to undo his tie. A car HONKS and Chaser, still running, glances off to the side as a station wagon driven by a family of imps points and laughs at him.
Chaser: "I... It's not what it looks like!"
Scene change to an intersection. A mother imp with two children grabs their hands and pulls them back before they step into the crosswalk and the ambulance speeds by with Chaser running behind it.
Chaser: (O.S.) "I'm not an ambulance chaser!"

Full disclosure: I originally used DeviantArt's A.I. tool to generate a reference for Chaser. And it wasn't until after Doma had done this commission that I noticed the A.I. tool had given Chaser four ears.
So this is actually my edit of Doma's work. And I don't blame the artist one bit for the original looking the way it did.
