Nothing like writing a poem that reemphasizes my love for children's poetry and, furthermore, my love for
Jazzycat's adorable toddler portraits. =)
Gradually getting back into my poetic spirit, I figured I'd attempt writing poems based off of visual art, for a while. Given my affinity for children's poetry, Jazzycat's work is ideal inspiration. This poem's subject matter derives from this cute, little portrait of hers --> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5732978 ^^
I really do hope I captured the innocence of her picture in my rather brief bit of rhymed verse; nonetheless, I'm quite content with this piece. =3
Anyhoo, enjoy, my good people! \(^-^)/
Until next poem. =D

What an encouragingly thoughtful comment, Chark. I do so appreciate your insight on the matter of the poem's childish nature. ^^
I'm glad you could "hear music playing to this"; because I almost always write metrically, I guess you could say it's something I subconsciously strive for. =)
With age comes change right?--most notably the mitigation of one's more carefree days and thus his or hers intrinsically pure-hearted nature. Well, as corny as it sounds, I like to think I've held on to some of that, and I hope to continue retaining it. x3
Thanks again, man. Do take care of yourself. =O

As always D you manage to capture the image perfectly. :)
I love the order of the rhyme and the cute imagery too. I'm still surprised you could make something like this from that little picture.
As the above comments say, you really should look into making a book someday. I know I would buy a copy. ^^

Well, Jazz, I'm thoroughly pleased to know that the creator of said image thinks so; I assure you, it's a pleasure to be using your work as a poetic guide to writing something that will bring smiles to those who read it. =D
And yes, I did take some liberty with the rhyme scheme this time around; having the far outer lines rhyme with each other is something I seldom do, but I think it makes for a subtle sound return that's inexplicably enjoyable and appropriate here. ^^
Lastly, saying that you'd buy a copy of a book of my poetry, children themed or otherwise, really means a lot to me, Jazz; I honestly just wish I could bring myself to think that doing so is a practical move. I've steeled myself in thinking that books of poetry (especially of my classic style) in today's world just don't leave a mark. Buuut, maybe I'm being a fool? x3
Thank you all the same, my friend! :)

I'm not sure if its practical (I know printing, selling, and publishing are very expensive) But then again you already leave your mark on many many people just by posting on FA.
Your classic style is refreshing and sweet and I'm positive that everyone who does come across is affected by it. If getting it published is what you really want to do I say don't have any fear about it. Even if it doesn't become a best seller you will still make something great.

Jazzy, I shall take your sincere words (and those of everyone else) to heart. I think it's high time I do take action without "having any fear about it." Though, I will admit that the fears you're thinking of aren't exactly what plague me. STILL, I appreciate the advice! :D
