That is so true. I caught something on X that was highly interesting. The British government placed 20K troops in the close vicinity of a nuke and detonated it just to see what would happen. Fully documented with interviews with the soldiers.

Yep, some very dodgy things certainly went on and are still doing so.

The tests at Bikini Atoll were as bad; military and civilian populations were exposed to radiation was unexpected, resulting in long term collateral damage

Truly a sobering piece -- even though I had an internal snicker at the Corporal's name myself, his father's sacrifice soon put a cork in it, as did the Poppy. In Flander's Field.....
