Troubles of a Thief-Hero
The second entry in a four part series I'm releasing, involving depictions of my retired ESO character Geo'Darri, featuring art I paid for over 5 years ago, and cannot find the artists for. If you are the original artist for any of these depictions featured in these edits, please reach out for proper credit. This series will conclude with a release of Darri's new form when it is finished, Darri Whiteshade, and will focus primarily on establishing the canon backstory.
Depictions of Darri, Troubles of a Thief-Hero
A more verifiable depiction of the legendary 'Shadow of Elsewhere'. The Dominia Empire issued this in several cities in and around his region of operations for the following crimes: Grand Theft, Assassination, Smuggling, Espionage, Suspicions of Treason, Prostitution, and Tax Evasion. This wanted poster showcases the price which the Dominia Empire was willing to pay to capture the elusive Darri. Equal parts historical verification of the claims made by the early catfolk and example of the fashion of thieves in the era and region. Many claim that outside his immense size, it would be difficult to tell Darri from other catfolk thieves in the dark of night, due to the similar outfits consisting of light armors, many knives, hoods that include facial coverings, and open toed footwear to use their foot-claws for scaling buildings and terrain.
As for the fate of these bounty posters themselves, records found in the ruins of the Dominia capital Whitegold reflect the bounty was paid in full by 'Sleek Tail', a known associate within his guild of thieves. This one was preserved by being inside the Anchorpoint Tavern, where he was known to frequent, allegedly even standing near the poster, as a challenge to off-duty guards and bounty hunters alike. Others were taken down reluctantly. This chunk of wood and attached poster was removed carefully by the curation team during the Anchorpoint Tavern's remodel, and will be returned alongside the protective case when this exhibit has finished its tour.
Special Thanks to the Gedanis and Langey Families for allowing us to borrow and display this incredibly preserved and important piece of catfolk history.
