Ahadi is the first in a litter of three cubs born to King Mohatu and his mate, Furaha. Their births are a cause for great celebration throughout the Pridelands, as the king and queen had been trying for many years to have children. As the oldest cub in the litter, Ahadi is destined to succeed his father as the new king when he comes of age.

Growing up, Ahadi always knew that he would have some big shoes to fill. His father was considered to be one of if not the greatest monarch the Pridelands ever had, having saved the kingdom during a harsh drought many years ago. But Mohatu does his best to teach the young prince everything he should know, most importantly how to act kind and just towards others. As a cub, he is betrothed to a cub from the Sunrise Pride named Chiamaka, and while he wasn’t a big fan of her affection towards him at first, he soon warms up to her and the two become very close, much to the delight of their respective parents. In time, Ahadi succeeds his father as the new king, and Mohatu passes away in his sleep shortly afterwards. Chiamaka is his rock during this time, comforting him and doing her best to help him rule the kingdom. Sometime into his reign, Chiamaka becomes pregnant with his first cub, but life soon throws him another curveball.

Chiamaka comes down with a rare illness, one that had no cure and would make her grow sicker and weaker until she eventually died. Many feared that she would die before their cub was born, but Chiamaka managed to live long enough to give birth to their son Mufasa, dying just mere hours later. Ahadi was understandably broken up over her passing, but knew that he had to stay strong for their infant son. A member of the hunting party informs him that a young lioness named Uru recently lost a cub of her own, so Ahadi asks her if she could be his son’s wetnurse, to which she accepts. He and Uru start off as friends but soon gradually develop stronger feelings for each other. Ahadi wasn't sure if he should follow his feelings after having lost his first mate Chiamaka, but Uru tells him that she would probably want him to be happy and to move on after her passing. Realizing that she was right, Ahadi confesses his feelings towards Uru, and she to him, and he soon makes Uru his new mate and the new Queen-Consort of the Pridelands.

Uru later ends up giving him two more cubs: a daughter named Takata and a son named Askari, after the first leader of the Lion Guard. He is a very patient father to his three children, although he would sometimes prioritize his kingly duties over his family. This results in him having a somewhat strained relationship with Askari, sometimes breaking promises with him to either deal with some issue in the Pridelands or give lessons to Mufasa. Askari seemed to grow more bitter following a snake attack and, upon noticing this, Ahadi tried to spend some more time with the young prince, though they never really had much to say.

Ahadi suddenly passes away one day a couple years later, leaving behind a strong and noble son to take his place. But unbeknownst to the Pridelanders, his younger and more bitter son would later seize the throne for himself.

Another new TLK ref sheet. Ahadi is Mufasa and Scar’s semi-canon father from the Six New Adventures book series. I based his design off of his book description and I also gave him Kion's ear strips and leg spots since he obviously had to get those traits from somebody.
