Princess Moonlight Sparkle is the daughter of Princess Twilight and Sunburst. She is the next pony in line for the Canterlot throne, she was born out of obligation so Twilight can have an heir to the throne. Princess Moonlight doesn’t get along with other teen princesses since she doesn’t look like a princess. Princess Moonlight will also take over as the Princess of Friendship once Princess Twilight retires as the reigning princess.
