Great news! The Warcraft 3 mod that I commissioned, the one that lets you play the High Elves as a 5th faction, is finally finished 🙂 It took quite a bit of effort to make, as we had to add a lot of custom voice lines, with original lines as well, and also had to properly balance it while still keeping it fun. We playtested it, and while playing it we found that they are a ton of fun to play with! And also feel balanced as well. For a game where a faction's balance can't properly be determined after at least 1000 games and feedback, having the race feel balanced from the get go is a very good sign! The creator is the talented Wa666r, who is famous in the Warcraft 3 mod community for his custom races and campaigns, and even he felt like this was his best work till date, and one that he put the most effort in, which shows 🙂 I strongly recommend giving this mod a go if you have Warcaft 3, which you can do by downloading it from the following link, and when you set up the map select the Night Elves and set their handicap to 90% in order to play as the High Elves.
