When the mother mare came into his dream, his nightmare faded away with her mere presence. Though he knows that he will not have his mother there forever, he is always grateful and at peace when the demons and spirits. While many a pony may see the nightmare queen and fear her presence, Tommy is one of the few that knows it is the same mare really underneath that larger form whom he loves and cares for. She is his dream guardian angel whom watches over him ensuring he sleeps and is safe, whether in his dreams or in real life. Her being beside him tucking her foal from another world whom gave her life another purpose whom she once thought lost forever. Keeping the child tucked beside her, she both embraces and sheds her tears within her, horrified by the tragic haunting thoughts that permeated her colts mind from the various outside forces seeking harm to her, only to take it out on her own son.

In the end, for now he can rest easily in her warmth, she resting easily knowing that her little prince....her baba is safe in her hooves and as she tells him "Nopony...nopony will harm you mine foal" as her blend of old and modern rhetoric tends to go.
