Gruzzles are often gentle creatures, they sleep within honey bubbles for protection. These bubbles are surprisingly sturdy, even resisting weather effects during hibernation, staying in near mint condition supposedly due to its magic. A den full of honey everywhere was likely the result of one that woke up after a long rest, as the bubbles gradually grow with stored magic and time. Although rare, a group of Gruzzles sleeping together is called a "Sweet dream", which is only seen in pre-marked Gruzzle community spots.

Gruzzles may take things they enjoy with them inside the bubbles sometimes, the permeability mostly being under their control. Animals have been seen near hibernating Gruzzle sites due to these creatures usual docile nature and nutritious and sweet honey that lies around when using its magic. The creation of these bubbles are a common skill for many Gruzzles outside of sleep, though some are more proficient and even specialized on what they can do with it.

Its stated that Gruzzles hold a soft rivalry with another Bee-themed creature from another region, usually stealing the other's honey to convert it into their own kind, sometimes to little effect due to the differences. It is noted that the honey produced by Gruzzles is not only sweeter, it boasts some enhanced restorative properties, which often makes it popular to use in some drinks or as a agent in some potions.
