Ax'L and Diji had been scoping out the area for a couple weeks now that his ute was back together. While things had calmed down a bit, the outskirts were out of range for his mechanics to be of any help and Diji never really went that far out. After a weekend breakfast at a diner on the far edge of town though, the final of Túl's gangs caught him; Maya and Nelsen. The couple ran the entire cities smuggling operations, bringing illegal substances in from underground farms and labs on the other side of the planet, and they acquired new members through a tournament they held sporadically each year. They weren't interested in HIRING Ax'L or Diji, but they wanted to see if either of them were worthy to go toe-to-toe with the two big league smugglers.
Additionally: Túl has gone through alot of expansion over the last century. So much so that most of the original building infastructure has been replaced with more modern brick and mortar buildings. However, on the far edges of the city, as seen here, some of the original from-orbit living modules from the initial colonization can be found, often times retrofitted for regular use.
I haven't done a comic style page like this in I think 5+ years at this point? I stopped because I was worried about the readability of my pages, and switched to the full page pieces like I normally do. But since this whole thing has been an exploration of different formats I thought I'd give it a try. Additionally, I wasn't able to show much of Maya's K30 but I have ALOT planned for how that thing is decorated, just wait to see what I'm planning on putting myself through lol.
Hope you enjoy this piece, and as always thank you for checking out my art!
