If you've been wondering what' been keeping me busy all this time, its two things.
One: college coursework
Two: This map!
I had been working on some portal 1 maps earlier but once Valve released the authoring tools for portal 2, and since ThinkignWithPortals.com started the summer mapping contest, I had to submit an entry and I have been working on this nonstop.
Well, its done, and here it is! To download it go to

NOTE for those who download and play this: for some reason when this is downloaded the cubemaps (reflections on metal surfaces) screw up. So the first time you play this go into console and type "buildcubemaps" or just "build" and press down, the console will automatically fill in the rest.
This map consists of three separate areas of medium to hard difficulty. The focus while making this map was finding new ways to use the portal2 testing elements and new ways to use portals to solve puzzles.
Area 1 is tricky but easy with practice
Area 2 the solution isn't obvious and is designed to trick you. You are gong to have to think outside the Apeture Science Courougated Thinking Box in order to solve it.
Area 3 is a change of pace from the first two. It is a fun area with lots ways to play around and at least three different solutions.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
This map has four "soft" acheivements (i.e. it just displays game_text)
[] 1: Ball Control: Get a sphere to the button in area 1 without letting any get fizzled
[] 2: Turrets Syndrome: FIZZLE every turret on OSTCSA
[] 3: Shatterproof: Complete area 3 without breaking the glass
[] 4: The Lizard Lives!: Find the hidden mapmaker's room
SPECIAL HINT FOR FA USERS: The secret mapmakers room is indicated by a green circle in the top right of the top right screenshot above. It is just after area 1. Zoom in and shoot a portal through the grate
no, they aren't real achievements and yes, you can get them with cheats on. But.... why? Really. On the plus side you can get them over and over

PLEASE play this version, its much more fun unless you are a hardcore portaller and want to pull you hair out over the first and last parts

yes, I noticed this. Im thinkng of just deleting the camera (but then GLaDOS won't be able to see you solve the 3 beams part)
Also, I was told by someone else who tried it that the timing on the drop in part1 is too close, and the ball catching part is too tricky and tedius. Im thinking of making a much easier version of the first part.
