The Gorgon, also known as the Serpent People, the Children of Yig, and the Future Founders of Pytho-La, are an ancient, fully reptilian race. Unlike Medusa, often mistakenly identified as a member of their kind, the Gorgon lack humanoid traits. Over millennia, their numbers dwindled, and they lost much of their magic, including their once-feared ability to petrify. Faced with extinction, they adapted. By the early 20th century, they began operating covertly through human proxies. Among their most successful agents was Python Primary, who managed to establish and lead an entire terrorist organization in their name, solidifying their influence in human society.
