The worst part is that, once Lars finally decided to save getting the mouse out for afterwards, the two turn out to be a great team like this (the mouse is great at planning and guiding Lars).
Of course, Lars refuses to let his pride be sullied by admitting this... but that doesn't stop the two from "accidentally" repeating this scenario again and again...

After several successful heists using this format, they eventually stop beating around the bush and become partners proper, doing heists in "mouse head" mode from the start instead of contriving "accidents."
Unfortunately, the mouse starts overindulging in their victory meals they have afterwards...

The mouse goes to hoist himself out after a hefty binge, only to find that his rounded out lower half's now keeping him firmly plugged between the stoat's shoulders. Quickly realising this Lars grabs the mouse with both hands and yanks him upwards, trying to angrily mumble at him to suck it in!
Why he let that little rodent stay put after their heist for so long is beyond him... now he can only kick himself when not actively tugging at the newly fattened mouse, hoping that he'll lose weight sooner rather than later

They get a stoat mask to cover up the mouse when they go out in public. They take off only in private or when on a heist so the mouse can see better and more effectively guide Lars. At this point, they're pouring their ill-gotten riches into finding a way to get the mouse back out.
While at first both are working together to get out of there, Lars' continual (and quite frankly hypocritical) comments about the mouse's "fat rump" lead to the mouse wanting to stay stuck longer simply out of spite and to stick it to the stoat, feeding him false intel as he blindly navigates around just to mess with him as he mumbles curses in frustration
Good thing the mouse can pop his arms out at least, so he can pull on the item jammed on him (albeit in vain). And once he figures it out, Lars would join in pulling with his own strength too: not to help the mouse primarily, but because them both being blind puts his chances of getting that mouse's feet off his head to near-impossible!
