One look at the screenshot of my Minecraft file might answer the question on how I'm starting to run out of things to make in that game.
Anyway, this is about how my thought process ran.
I wanted to make a fan comic about Minecraft since I've committed many bored hours to it, but I could never come up with a punchline, or a joke for that matter.
So here you go! For your enjoyment I bring you the thought process and the ending result! Gaze upon it and all of its beauty!

The Minecraft panel is exploding with memes and awesome. Too bad I can't make out half the details! That's either a pony or a Pokemon. Or neither.
Man my Minecraft servers don’t see nearly as much development. Maybe I should seek out crazy, obsessive fanatics who don’t sleep to populate my server… Hey pixel that sounds a lot like yo- SSSSSSSSSSS OH GOD RUN!

I don't have a problem, I can stop anytime I want....Maybe tomorrow...
Anyway, the screenshot is small and crowded because it was generally there just to state that there is ALOT in that one area. The list would be too big if I actually took the time to tell you what everything was...
And I'm tempted to take you up on the offer, though I'm not sure what else I could build that I haven't done yet.

Exploring the world other people made can be equally fun as building them! I wouldn’t mind hoping by and checking the place out.
As for my server, well we had all the nifty building plugins, but eventually everyone tired of having everything easy. So I went ahead and generated a new custom map with floating islands and removed all those WorldEdit plugins. Suddenly everyone realised how hard Minecraft can really be. :P

I think everyone needs to try Minecraft mod-less for a bit and then a few game days with the difficulty on. It helps them learn that better.
I went through those days mod-less, thinking "hey, I don't need no stinking mod to cheat all of those materials out of the ground, I have a giant strip mine, I'll EARN all of them rocks!"
That attitude lasted maybe a month...Then I realize it would get more done if I just spawned my materials, but the giant strip mines still exist buried deep under all of those buildings with only one entrance shaft.
...Ah, memories...

Memories indeed! I started with that same attitude too, hoping to build cities with my own blood, sweat and cobblestone. Oh the hours spent trying to enlarge an island surrounded by water. Then somehow having everything on the island burn to the ground... three times.
Plugins started as fire protection, but a few //set 4, //fill 12 10, and creeper stoppers later, well you get the idea. Alternating between these two states is what has me coming back every now and then. That and the occasional update. :D
