A big thing that has been bugging me of late is how I draw my anthros. As lof late with the pointing out of some viewers, it seems like 80% of my anthros have the same cookie-cutter face. They all look more human than anthros, and seem like just modified catgirls and stuff; it's not that I don't mind it, I just try to draw what's most pleasing, because a sandshrew with a realisitic muzzle is too odd looking, and a cute little lionish nose I gave her looks much better the way I draw it.
Nidorina, in this example, has a pointed muzzle on the left, and how I've been drawing it like on the right. I wanted to try Theshizl's style of drawing Nidorina ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/321733/ ) but being the crazy person I am, I don't want to just outright steal how he did it....
I suppose the arguement in my mind is, should I strive for more pokemon/animal like, or keep with my flow of slightly more human anthros. I'll admit, I'm attention whore, and whatever the fans want, I want to do for them, because I like both.
I dunno. I should just experiment around a little with muzzles. I dunno.

Same as most other things. Lots of practice and self-evaluation/comparisons. Like...that picture of Niketa I just made...if you look at the old one and compare it with the new, you can see why I eventually (wish it was sooner than later) figured out I needed to converge a new style of faces. I just look at my work and go "what should I do to make this better?" and sometimes use other's work to figure out what I should do.
Dude, I don't mind if anyone uses my style for the evolution of their styles. Ahaha, Haven't you ever heard that imitation's the largest form of flattery
All that aside, art styles gradually evolve on their own. hell, I was ambidextrous n' I didn't even know it untill my sis pointed it out
