So, here’s a quick art commission sketch featuring my own personal Dexter’s Lab AU short story called “Dexter’s Wonderful Life” where my older AU version of Dexter (out of sheer boredom & curiosity while working late one night inside his secret lab during the holidays) actually has the idea of inventing a “Multiversal What If Machine” so that he could use it to see into other alternate universes where he romantically hooked up with other girls in his life instead of LeeLee during high school (such as the sardonic super genius Soyen Chen, the bullish tomboy LalaVava or the spider-obsessed goth girl Vicky respectively). But by the end of the story (shortly after he had looked into these three alternate universes for himself) he ultimately concluded that he wouldn’t change the course of his life for anything as he soon realized that he already is living in the best possible future with LeeLee as the story will end on a rather heartwarming note that the artist rogelis drew for me just recently.
