TMNT: New Age of Mutants: Robot Ruckus
It was a special weekend in Stockman Enterprises Inc., because the annual two-day robotics science fair was being held. And there were four guests of honor… the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Dr. Baxter Stockman greeted them kindly.
“Misters Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael Splinterson. To thank you for saving our city from that mutant cat attack, you are cordially invited to my Stockman Science Fair. Feel free to look at all of these technologic inventions all you want. Maybe you will be inspired to do your own invention someday!”
The audience clapped at the turtles.
“Isn’t it cool, dudes?” Mikey said. “Our first day as heroes of the city!”
“It feel great to finally be among people without being feared or having to hide!” Raph said.
“Such incredible technology!” Donnie said. “I can’t wait to check it out!”
“Me neither!” Leo said. “Now let’s go!”
The four turtle brothers took a look at the robotic inventions that were there. There many robots with all kinds of functions. Cleaning robots, cooking robots, sport robots, and even police robots under the label REX.
“Hey, what are these tiny fellas?” Mikey said.
“Oh, these are my latest inventions.” Dr. Stockman said. “They’re called the Mousers. I heard about the rat infestation that happened a few weeks ago, and I wanted to make sure it doesn’t happen again. These babies will annihilate any rodent they come across.”
“Hopefully they don’t learn about Master Splinter…” Leo said.
“What was that?” Dr. Stockman said.
“Oh, nothing. I was just mentioning our father. If your Mousers learned about his vermin vanquishing skills, they’d eat their mechanical hearts out!”
“Allow me to doubt it. The Mousers will achieve what no other exterminator has ever done! They’ll exterminate all plagues of New York once and for all!”
“Well, that’s a good thing.” Donnie said.
Raph looked at a peculiar robot standing next to its inventor, Dr. Zayton Honeycutt.
“What about that robot over there?” Raph asked.
“Oh, that’s my latest invention.” Dr. Honeycutt said. “It’s called the SAL.”
“SAL?” Leo asked. “What does it mean?”
“I’m… not sure.” Dr. Honeycutt said.
“Don’t worry, Professor Honeycutt.” Dr. Stockman said. “What’s important about this robot are its functions.”
“You’re right, Dr. Stockman. My SAL robot is meant to make all kinds of tasks, and I do mean all, easier.”
“And what is that cybernetic arch of triumph?” Mikey asked.
“That, young turtles, is an interdimensional portal.” another scientist said. “And it’s made by me, Dr. Jordan Perry!”
“An interdimensional portal?” Leo asked. “Does it actually work?”
“The only way to find out is to turn it on!” Dr. Perry said. “But… now it’s not the time to try it.”
“Um… okay, Dr. Perry.” Leo said.
The turtles kept observing every invention and every robot until the sun started to go down. People headed to their homes.
“So, did you get some inspiration from all these inventions, gentle turtles?” Dr. Stockman asked.
“We sure did!” Leo said.
“Those were totally rocking robots!” Mikey said.
“Awww, I was hoping to see fighter robots, like boxing robots, or blaster robots!” Raph said.
“I can’t wait to get back to my lab and start working on a new project!” Donnie said.
“I’m glad to hear that. Keep it up, and soon you will become a robotics genius like me.”
“Thank you, Dr. Stockman. See you tomorrow!” Leo said.
Thus, the four ninja turtles headed back to their home in the sewers. That night, when there was no one around, Scratch, Shredder’s mutant cat henchman and Old Hob’s second in command, infiltrated the desolate robotics science fair. He pulled out a tiny communication device. Shredder appeared on its screen.
“Okay, Master Shredder. I’m in the science fair.”
“Excellent.” Shredder said. “Now, you must locate Dr. Stockman’s latest invention, the Mousers.”
“Mousers? Does it have something to do with mice? Because it sounds tasty!”
“No, you foolish furball. The Mousers are meant to get rid of mice. But with the hacking device I gave to you, they will obey me and get rid of those pesky Ninja Turtles instead!”
“Oh, I get it. Now let me find those robots.”
Scratch kept searching through the robotic inventions until he spotted the Mousers.
“Hehe. Found them! Now, to implant the mind transfer devices.”
Scratch pulled out some tiny devices to put on the Mousers. While he was at it, he found two distinctive devices.
“Nope. These are the failed prototypes.”
Scratch threw away the faulty prototypes, and continued placing transfer devices on the Mousers.
“All set, boss!”
“Fine.” Shredder said. “Now, to activate our robotic mastermind… Chrome Dome!”
Shredder pushed a button on his control panel, activating a heavily armored, human sized robot, whose eyes began to glow as it transferred its mind to the Mousers. The munching machines came to life and turned hostile. At that moment, Professor Zayton Honeycutt entered the place, hoping to work on some adjustments to his SAL robot. But then he saw the Mousers going crazy and a big mutant cat commanding them.
“Who are you, mutant? What are you doing here?” Honeycutt asked, frightened at what he saw.
“Nothing personal, scientist.” Scratch said. “But Dr. Stockman’s Mousers now are property of the Shredder!”
“Wait, what? Who’s the Shredder? I won’t let you do this!”
“You and what army? Mousers, get him!”
The Mousers charged toward Dr. Honeycutt. One of them jumped towards him and tackled him, knocking the poor scientist next to his own invention, the SAL. Little did he know that the faulty transfer devices had fallen on the SAL and right where he landed! Instantly they activated. Both scientist and robot began to glow and flash, as if they were electrocuted, then they laid unconscious on the ground. Smirking, Scratch retreated with the Mousers at his command.
Next morning, lots of people came back to see the robotic inventions. Among them were the Ninja Turtles.
“Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael!” Dr. Stockman said. “This is horrible! Someone stole my Mousers last night! And on top of it, Dr. Honeycutt fell into a comma and was taken to the hospital!”
“What?!” Donnie exclaimed.
“Who could have done it?” Leo wondered.
“It must have been Old Hob’s goons, no question!” Raph said.
“How are you so sure, Raph? Leo asked.
“Uh, I mean, there is some cat fur on the floor.”
Donnie grabbed some of the fur and analyzed it with one of his devices.
“Yes, it definitely belongs to Scratch.” Donnie said.
“But why would he and Old Hob want the Mousers?” Mikey asked.
“Maybe they want the Mousers as new additions to their army, since they failed to recruit the mutant animals back at Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade.” Leo said.
“Which are now the Mighty Mutanimals!” Mikey remarked.
“But how are we gonna find Scratch and the Mousers?” Raph asked.
Suddenly, the turtles heard some buzzing coming from behind them. They turned around and saw Professor Honeycutt’s invention, the SAL, coming to life.
“Whoa, what’s happening to that robot?!” Mikey asked.
“Perhaps I can help you.” the SAL said.
“It’s Dr. Honeycutt’s SAL!” Donnie said. “But that voice… Dr. Honeycutt, is that you?”
“I’m afraid it is, young turtles.” Honeycutt said. “A big mutant cat did this to me while stealing Dr. Stockman’s Mousers.”
“But how?” Raph asked.
“I think it’s because of these tiny devices.” Donnie answered. “They look like mind swapping devices.”
“So that’s why the scientist is now inside of his invention.” Leo said.
“Quite ironic, isn’t it?” Raph joked.
“But what about Dr. Honeycutt’s body? He was taken to the hospital!” Mikey said.
“I’m afraid my human body won’t be able to move with the robot’s brain. It wasn’t designed to do so.”
“And what did the cat said when he took the Mousers?”
“He mentioned something about them being now property of… the Shredder.”
“The Shredder?” Leo asked. “Who is that?”
“From what I know, it’s what you use to slice cheese.”
“I think Old Hob and Scratch were just underlings of an even bigger villain!”
“Hmmm… That’s nice.” Raph said. “A bunch of mutant cats didn’t seem menacing enough for me.”
“So how are we gonna find the Mousers?” Leo asked.
“Hmmm…” Professor Honeycutt thought. “Maybe I can use this transfer device to track the newest ones on the Mousers by finding the update.”
Honeycutt scanned the transfer device on his robotic body. Then, he found an available update. His computerized mind showed him the location of the newest transfer devices so that whoever built them upgraded the oldest model.
“I can see them!” Honeycutt said. “They’re heading toward their next target… the sewers? Well, they’re Mousers, so I think they are going to do their job.”
“Of course they’re going to do their job!” Raph said. “They’re going to find Master Splinter and Linter!”
“We can’t let them get away with it!” Donnie said.
“Let’s go get ‘em, guys!” Leo said.
The four turtle brothers and Honeycutt headed to the sewers to stop the Mousers from attacking their rodent relatives. Form Shredder’s hideout, Old Hob commented:
“Finally, time to get rid of those stinking rats.”
Back at the turtles’ home, Splinter was meditating while Linter enjoyed some pizza leftovers. Suddenly, Splinter felt negative energy approaching. Then, the wall began crumbling. Out of them came Mousers! Splinter wasted no time and fought them back with his cane. But there were too many Mousers. Luckily, the Ninja Turtles arrived in the nick of time.
“Fear not, dad!” Mikey said. “Your green knights in shining shells are here!”
“Let’s get them, guys!” Leo said. “Turtle power!”
The turtles fought bravely against the Mousers, bringing them down one by one. Professor Honeycutt helped them by hitting the Mousers with an electro-stun stick.
“Dudes, isn’t it wrong that we’re literally wrecking Dr. Stockman’s inventions?” Mikey asked.
“Nah, he’s a genius. “He can just create more!” Donnie answered.
In the end, there were apparently no mousers left.
“Whoo! Looks like we’re safe now.” Donnie said.
“Don’t be so sure, mutants!” Shredder said. “We’re gonna kick things up a notch!”
Shredder pushed a button.
“Chrome Dome, go crush these turtles and their rat sensei! And bring more Mousers with you!”
“Hold on!” Honeycutt said. “I detect more robots approaching!”
“You mean more Mousers?” Mikey asked.
“Yes, but there’s something even bigger!”
“Bigger? Like what!” Raph asked.
“We’ll have to go outside to find out.” Leo said.
The four turtles and the robot came out of the sewer and faced a new mechanical menace… Chrome Dome itself! And just like Shredder said, there were more Mousers with it!
“Whoa, is that…?” Raph asked.
“The robot mastermind!” Leo said.
“Now there’s too many of them!” Donnie said.
“Perhaps I can help you with that.” Honeycutt said.
“How?” Mikey asked.
“I’ve got an idea! Well, it’s actually a hidden function.”
The robot pulled out an antenna from its head. At the science fair, the REX police robots activated and headed to the heroes’ location.
“Whoa! Now these are robo-cops!” Mikey said.
“I knew there had to be something interesting at the science fair!” Raph said.
“These are the REX, aka Robot Enforcement Experiment.”
“How did you manage to take control of them and not of the Mouser, or that big robot guy?” Donnie asked.
“This function only allows me to synchronize with robots who work for the common good, not destruction.”
“Hmmm. Touché.”
“Now, onward, REX units! Take down these Mousers!”
“Good. We’ll take care of the big one. Let’s go, guys!”
The Ninja Turtles fought Chrome Dome as best as they could. But this robot proved to be a great challenge. It could stretch its limbs outs to hit its opponents from a distance. It could slam its fists against the ground to throw electric shockwaves toward the turtles! However, Donnie stepped in front of his brothers and whirled his bo, creating a barrier that deflected the shockwaves.
“Thank you, brother.” Raph said.
“Look out!” Mikey said.
Chrome Dome stretched out one of its arms, trying to strike the brothers, but Leo stepped in and sliced it with his katanas. For a moment, it seemed like they had disarmed Chrome Dome, but it immediately pulled out blasters out of its arm sockets!
“Uh-oh” the turtles said.
Chrome Dome started shooting at the turtles with the blasters, but the brothers swiftly avoided the shots with their skillful ninja jumps. Chrome Dome reckoned it needed more firepower to take them down, so he turned his blasters into cannons. He began firing away, and the turtles could hardly avoid the blasts.
“I know!” Donnie said. “Let’s tuck in our shells!”
Leo, Raph and Mikey listened to Donnie, and the four of them hid in their shells, cushioning themselves from the explosions. Chrome Dome proceeded to pull out another pair of cannons from its shoulders. These cannons fired homing missiles that flew toward the turtles! The turtles backflipped away from the missiles, until they landed behind Chrome Dome. Thinking quickly, one of them ducked and kicked at Chrome Dome’s feet, knocking it down. Then, the four turtles grabble Chrome Dome and used it as a shield. The robot ended up being hit by its own missiles and blew up almost entirely!
“NOOOOOO!!!” Shredder cried.
“Those stinky vermin defeated us again!” Old Hob said.
“Turtles… this isn’t over!”
Shredder pushed a button and Chrome Dome’s head rocketed off into the sky and, unbeknownst to the turtles, back to Shredder’s lair.
“Did we beat it?” Raph asked.
“I guess… for now.” Leo said.
Meanwhile, the REX robots had finished off the Mousers.
“All clear, turtles!” Honeycutt said. “Every Mouser has been wiped out. Now we can get the REX back to the science fair.”
The turtles and Honeycutt headed back to the science fair, where Baxter Stockman was waiting for them.
“Splintersons!” Stockman said. “You made it!”
“Aren’t you mad at us because we mangled your Mousers?” Leo asked.
“Not at all, I can make more of them!”
“Ha! Told you!” Donnie said.
“And this time, I’ll make sure to give them an anti-hacking function.”
“Perhaps I can help you with it.” Honeycutt said.
“Fascinating! I love when scientists cooperate.”
“Don’t you prefer going back to your human body?” Raph asked.
“I think I like being in this robot. Believe it or not, I feel more useful than before!”
“If you say so…” Mikey said.
“I guess our mission is complete, guys.” Leo said. “Let’s go home now.”
“Farewell, young turtles!” Stockman said. “I can’t wait to see what invention you thought of!”
“I guess it’s time to wrap up the science fair, Dr. Stockman.” Honeycutt said. “Are you coming?”
“With pleasure.”
Back at the sewers, Splinter greeted the turtles.
“My sons, you’re back!” Splinter said. “You did an impressive job by winning this challenging battle.”
“Nah, that lot of tin cans weren’t rivals for us turtles.” Raph said.
“Did you learn something with this experience?”
“Yes.” Leo said. “We learned that a weak mind can easily be influenced by evil forces.”
“Like those of the Mousers!” Mikey said.
“And it has inspired me enough to start working on a robot that cannot be controlled by any evil force!” Donnie said. “It will be called… Metalhead!”
“Couldn’t you think of a more original name?” Raph asked.
“What do you mean? It’s a cool name! It means it will have a head hard as metal so it won’t be controlled by villains!”
“Good thinking, Donatellio.” Splinter said.
Meanwhile, back at where the science fair was held, each scientist had picked up their invention and left.
“Isn’t there one invention missing?” Honeycutt asked.
“No, I think all of them have been picked up.” Stockman said.
Upon collecting all of their stuff, both scientists left. Little did they know that behind the building of Stockman Enterprises Inc., Doctor Jordan Perry had set up his interdimensional portal. Suddenly, his chest opened, revealing a brain-like tentacled alien named Ultrom inside!
“Everything is set.” he said, through a communicator device. “The portal will open shortly. You can start the invasion… Lord Krang.”
