Ahh. That thing is huge irl. All in marker. This was a commission for my friend Cricket. Her rat Gordo, and her bf as a plushie, too. My ex is the other plushie here. XP
Yes, I know there are problems with perspective. I almost never draw rooms. Or furniture. *excusesexcuses*

Just now i took my netbook with this image loaded on it, and compared it to the original (which is proudly hanging on my wall). The colours look just as vibrant as the scan, if not actually moreso. Absolutely no deterioration of colour. The drawing has never left the frame since i got it, so i don't know if that helps preserve it at all...
I still adore it. I stare at it quite often, admiring and appreciating all the work you put into it. As far as i can recall, it was the first piece i hung up on my walls at this new place too ^^
I thank you for it again :> I assure you this piece has a loving home!

Yay! Glad to hear it, Crickee!! I've always heard that markers do fade a bit with time, but I guess the frame thing does help (but the main element should still be light, so you must have not had it on a wall with direct sunlight? I have one here by Dark Natasha I've had up for a while too, and the marker didn't fade either. Maybe it's just a question of 10+ years and not just "years".
The first 6 months or so it lived facing a big sliding glass door, but it was nearly the whole length of my apartment away, so the light that reached it was pretty weak. Then it was in storage for a few months, followed by a year and a half on another wall with dissipated sunlight, 9 months hanging in a basement, 10 months in a different basement, and now it's back to indirect sunlight. I guess living a sheltered life is good for artwork XD
