I didn't use reference for this pic. Whenever I'm drawing complex stuff or things I haven't drawn too often I do pull up some references to guide me, though.

Oh, I usually just go to Google images and look for pictures of what I need to reference, sometimes Pinterest. I've looked up 3D models in one or two occassions.
