Well just like they didn't determine the terms to the bat's lost. They never determined what counted as a strike. A simple slap, a punch, or something that actually harms him. Cause if it's the latter then the kid 0 chance. Which is why any terms made with a demon should be as specific as possible.

Dovak seems strong but he doesn't seem very smart or wise since he is kind of screwing himself over and setting himself back by trying to kill the person who wanted to make a deal with him because his plan needs him to make a deal with a mortal
