Malik panted in earnest effort as he slide behind a pillar, getting away from the onslaught of power blows by his target. He was sent by an unknown benefactor to take out this Pharaoh, but he would surely be asking for three fold the pay after all this effort. With a sickening crunch his shoulders and collars heal up, mending themselves in real time, along with his bone mask. Its not often he could be put on his back foot, but he was having fun. In this moment in which he thought to be out of danger, he hears "Where are you looking, parrot?!"
With blinding speed the 11 foot tall crocodile Pharaoh was back upon him! The large khopesh swings horizontally, trying to take his head. But the assassin wouldn't fall for that. He ducked down, to repost and slash at Dematraxus' ankles, only for the crocodile to block it with his armored forearm and go in to grab the corvid. 'Not again' he says, seeming to know what had happened earlier. He avoids it and moved to face him, a few yards away.
Dematraxus himself has a few cuts and wounds along his front side, but nothing more than superficial flesh wounds. He rolls his shoulders and stares at his assailant. The common tongue comes out of his mouth, "You come into my temple to take my life, yet now you hesitate? Is that cowardice?"
Malik uses his left sleeve to wipe the blood from his beak, "You talk too much, gator. I'll still wear your hide and use your head as a mantle trophy. And you destroyed my clothes." he lowers his stance and then opens his right palm. Shadow's coalescing in it, "Shall we end this?" he grins under that mask, "For what its worth, you've been a worthy target. Its regrettable to end your life...a little. And you never showed me anything I could use my mimicry with. Impressive and sad at the same time."
The Crocodile priest grins, "So you'll know...your handicap has been me using my khopesh. Had I dropped it, I would usher you to the field of reeds much quicker. But yes, lets end this...!" suddenly the crocodile with astonishing speed rushes towards Malik, catching him off guard slightly, but not all the way. Malik was ready. The shadow energy appears behind Dematraxus, catching his eye for long enough for the blade to stab directly into his chest and out of the other side. A deep grunt of pain is heard as the shadow energy was able to pierce him.
Malik would pay for this dearly though. As he rumbled in pain, that HUGE khopesh, coated in some sort of divinity was swinging down to land an absolutely enormous blow to him. It sinks into his shoulder and cleaves through his ribcage and rending everything on the way down. Both avian and crocodilian blood has spilled in earnest. And time seems to stand still as they are both frozen in this double decisive blow in their dual....
