Sky sleds are cargo tow gliders pulled by teams of swans or cranes, or potentially any large, strong flyer. Team members take turn in the attendant position, allowing them to rest a little, tend to the glider's trim, and help other team members with harness and tether adjustments. For lightness, the glider has no landing gear, only skids on the wingtips and belly. They land on soft sand or grass. Each swan can use their beak to disconnect the tether hook on their chest, when it's their turn to take the attendant position or if there is an in-flight emergency. The gliders can carry passengers or cargo, and some may even be fitted bombs for high-altitude offensive missions.

I've been going back through some of my art of the past few months, finishing some that were just quick color sketches, and tweaking others, in preparation for MFF in December.
