The gentle sound of wind rapped at the window as the freshly fallen snow glistened in the gentle moonlight that shined down on the frozen world and all its natural wonder. The shatterd fence stood silently vigilant to the path that hadn't been trodden in some time as a figured breathed out a content sigh. The room was perfumed with the warmth of spices, pine, and burnt wood as the flames flickered like sprites of the hearth danced merrily to and fro in their brick domain. The warmth radiated and reached the man sitting at the table, his mane flowing in slow whisps as he gazed contemplatively out through the glass. He fingered the rim of his cup gently, smoothly rubbing the curved edge repetitively.

His thoughts of his past playing like a movie in sepia in his mind as the whisps of steam wafted up to his nose bading him to take another sip. As the warm spiced drink touched his tongue it infused him with a warmth contrasted by the cold seeping in through the window. He tentatively raised a paw and placed it on the cool glass, feeling as the cold absorbed into his hand before pulling away and staring down at his hand. He looked back to the window where steam had gathered around his hand leaving an imprint of his digits that slowly vanished. A soft chuckled escaped him as he leaned in close and breathed out, his breath captured on the glass still scented with apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg. With a content smile the pokemon drew onto the glass with his fingertip. Two circles, with some dots and lines until a snowman came to life on the glass in front of him.

The zoroark stared down at his whimsical drawing before chuckling again, leaning back in his chair, and taking another sip of his drink.

Hey, hi, howdy yall! Yet another piece I finished recently for a friend on Discord. This was a really fun piece to do and it got me to finally practice drawing some backgrounds which I'm not the strongest at haha. But I'm really proud of how it turned out all things considered.
