
I managed to find a good spot where there weren't any cops blocking the road. Right on the edge of the river, tresspassing in the ruins of a demolished mill.

Rubber products MFG from 1867 till the 1930s, then used by the military probably for rubber products (boots) till the 1960s then used as a plastic cover MFG for cosmetics containers.
So, I mean, rubber MFG/processing isn;'t actually all that hazardous. Nor is plastic casting/injection... Still, it was built in 1867, in the heyday of asbestos EVERYTHING...and fire can made even asbestos brick (yes it was used as a composite fibre in bricks) can become frangible. Congradulations RI on your newest Super Fund Site!
Of course they could have abated it ages ago, but back in the 1960s nobody cared was asbestos was, since we stuffed out naval ships with the blue frangible stuff like crazy up till the 1970s.
Still, it's possible, but highly unlikely.
