I have done a Jurassic World fanfic binge these last months and this lead me to an article dissecting the velociraptor cage in the first Jurassic Park film. Then I remembered the twistlock mechanism in ISO shipping containers and decided to design a safer transfer cage, using only mechanical interlocks and requiring much less personnel to operate. I am quite sure that similar systems are used in zoos to transfer animals between enclosures.
